Welcome to the Mid Week Check In, Parsers.

We held off on the weekend report because we wanted to see the true fallout of the massive Week 4 hotfixes. Blizzard threw out a ton of buffs to struggling specs and tried to kneecap the S Tier. Now that the dust has settled and a full week of logs has baked in, we have the real data.

Did the buffs actually save the bottom tier? Did the nerfs dethrone the kings? Let’s look at the logs.

The Raid Fallout: Hotfix Reality Check

  • Demonology is Unkillable: Last week, Blizzard hit Demonology Warlock with a heavy pet crit nerf to pull them down. It didn't work. They are currently sitting at #2 overall in both Heroic and Mythic difficulty. They are the undisputed kings of the raid tier right now.

  • Frost DK is Still Dead: Despite receiving a targeted 12-15% buff to Obliterate and Frost Strike, Frost DK is still sitting in the absolute bottom three of Mythic Raid DPS. The buffs were a band-aid on a bullet wound.

  • The Heroic Shift: Balance Druid and Frost Mage have surged into the Top 5 for Heroic.

  • Mythic Ranged Dominance: In Mythic, ranged specs have completely taken over. Survival hunter is knocking on the door for a spot though!

Mythic+ "God Comps" (Week 3/4 Keys) Looking away from raw DPS and into team synergy, the Mythic+ group composition data paints a terrifying picture.

  • The Augmentation Monopoly: Looking at the top 100 most successful key compositions across all regions, Augmentation Evoker is in almost every single one. The 500-yard range buff to Ebon Might just solidified their absolute stranglehold on M+. If you are pushing high keys, bringing an Aug is no longer a recommendation; it is a mathematical requirement.

  • The Caster Core: The most successful comps are heavily favoring a double-caster DPS core alongside their Augmentation Evoker, with Frost Mage and Destruction Warlock featuring heavily in the highest completion rates. Unholy DK getting a good look in too!

The meta has officially solidified. Get your weeklies done, and we will see you this weekend for the reset prep.
